Sleigh Bells Ring, Are You Listening?

In the Lane, snow is glistening . . . three feet of snow to be exact, probably going on four! Yes, it's still snowing a day and a half later. This kind of weather is perfect for reading, movie marathons, and ginger cookies! I think Derek and I are going to have a Star Wars marathon today - we'll see how many movies we can get through, assuming we don't lose power.

I'm actually shocked that we haven't lost our power yet - that's alot of snow sitting on the power lines, and it's spring snow so it's wet and heavy. Apparently alot of people in our subdivision have lost power, but we've been lucky so far I guess. We may have to go dig out some of our firewood later though, just in case the power does go out later. We've already filled up jugs of water, and I have candles and flashlights, so we should be okay.

Here are some pictures of the lovely snow! Springtime in the Rocky Mountains!

And here is the desk that Derek made me - beautiful is it not? I've already been using it for my laptop and it's so nice! The top is all beautiful and shiny too, because Derek sealed it with apoxy so that I could write on the top without scratching it. I have a pretty talented husband . . .

What a neat desk! Thumbs up for your hubby!
I'm not jealous about the snow. Last year we still had snow in April and I hated it, but I think Spring finally sprung yesterday, and today is nice, too. Well, except for the ice that formed on everything overnight...

Does your water comes from a well? You said subdivision, so probably not? I'll tell you anyway. We're on a well, so when the power might go out, we fill up our bathtubs with water. That way if the power goes out we can still use the toilets by using a bucket and dumping more water into the toilet tank. ;)

We do that too! We had the bath tub all filled up with water yesterday. I need to fill itup again today. Yep, we actually have well water too -we're in a mountain area, and I'm not sure if subdivision is exactly the right word . . .
