The Honest Scrap Award

Okay, it's award time! I've been a little pathetic about passing on awards for the past couple months, so I'll be attempting to catch up on giving these out.

Jen at The Life Accounts awarded me the Honest Scrap award! I really enjoy reading The Life Accounts - Jen's posts are interesting and fun, so you should head over there and check it out!

To receive this award I need to say ten interesting things about myself. Boy, that can be hard to do, but I'll try to tell you something that will be interesting.

1. My arms are slightly double-jointed.

2. I was homeschooled from the fourth grade through highschool, and I started college classes at sixteen years old (yay for double credits)!

3. My family owned horses when I was growing up, and one of our favorite things to do as a family was to go on trail rides in the summer.

4. I've never been outside the U.S. and Canada, but that will be changing soon! That's all I'll say for now.

5. My finger and toe joints sometimes just pop out. For no apparent reason. And it really hurts. I wonder if there is a medical term for the frequent dislocation of minor joints.

6. I'm a tiny bit scared of the ocean.

7. My computer has frozen up three times tonight. I'm afraid it's on it's last leg.

8. I have an addiction to lip gloss. I'll have five tubes of gloss going at any one time, so I can use different flavors or colors depending on my mood.

9. I think para-sailing or hang-gliding would be so fun.

10. When I was a teenager I used to hide books that I was reading under a big stuffed lamb on my bed - that way they were out of sight and my room looked tidy, but my books were still easily accessable. I think I need a grown-up version of my lamb.

Okay, so hopefully something in all that was interesting! Does anyone else have as much trouble as I do thinking up interesting things about themselves? I have lots of interesting thoughts about other things, but it's hard to think of interesting things about me!

So I'm going to pass this one on to five people. Here we go.

Bibelot: Life's Little Things - Anne has some great insights, and I love reading her posts!

I Then Shall Live - Amy's blog is a light, cheerful read, and she makes me laugh!

Joshley and the Charles - Ashley is a (somewhat) new blogging friend, and I've really been enjoying her blog!

JB's Affordable Cooking Tips - This blog has some great food ideas and recipes (but beware - it'll make your mouth water).

Fearfully and Wonderfully Made - Jaime says it like it is and speaks her mind (or writes her mind?), and I appreciate that - her blog is a fun read.

And that's it for this one! To recieve the award just post ten interesting things about yourself, and pass it on to as many bloggers as you want!

I have three more awards to dole out, so check back on Fridays or Saturdays for the next few weeks to see more. I'm off to an Easter play at my cousin's church - it should be pretty good! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

I did the same things with my books! Except I stashed them behind/under my pillow!

Aw, man! Here I was enjoying your 10 things and then you go and make me do it! lol, I kid.

My dad used to teach hang-gliding. I did the double credits thing, too; I started college before I finished high school. But I wasn't homeschooled ;)

And, uh, excuse me?! Outside the US and Canada soon?! Where are you going?!

I'm with you, I hate trying to come up with quirky little facts about myself. To me, my life seems so boring & normal!

I loved reading your fun facts! You came up with interesting ones. I was homeschooled too. :) I love how you stashed your books. Makes me want to go stash mine somewhere for some reason!

Thanks for the links, especially to the cooking site. Just so you know, though, that link doesn't work... I figured it out anyway. :)
