Mish-Mashy

Today is one of those days when I don't really know what to write about. It's been a rough week so far, and I've still got half of it to go.

Quincy ran away this morning. I had to go trotting down the driveway in the snow to try to find her. Thankfully she didn't go far, and there was this big black dog roaming the neighborhood, so I think it scared her into running back home. She came inside and Harvey and Ralphie have been licking all the snow and ice off of her back and face for the last five minutes. It's pretty cute, actually.

I haven't had any time to read blogs for almost a week, and I'm feeling terrible about it. I'm going bowling with my grandma and sister again today, so I probably won't have that much time today either. It's just a weird week. So if I haven't commented on your blog for a while, I'm working on it!

Derek and I bought Danny Gokey's new CD. He was on American Idol last week, and he was one of our favorites last year, so we were excited to see him perform. Then he started into the song, and I looked at Derek and said "Is that country? It sounds like country." And what do you know, it was! We were pretty excited, because he was our favorite contestant last year, and now he's making our favorite genre of music.

The CD is quite good - I like almost all the songs. We were a little unsure at first, because he doesn't have the typical country voice, but the songs sound country, and he makes it work. Kind of like the guy in Rascal Flatts and Keith Urban make it work, even though they don't really have "country" voices either. There are several songs that we can picture hearing on country radio, and hopefully we will soon!

Anyway, this was a very mish-mashy, random post, but I'm having a very mish-mashy, random week, so this is as good as it gets for now.

P.S. The picture fits with my mish-mashy, random theme, just in case you were wondering.

Have you tried maca powder before? If you do some research on it and want to try it I would be more than happy to send you a sample from the container I bought the other day. Just let me know and I'll get it in the mail for you! :)

Aww American Idol! I haven't watched that since Carrie Underwood (who I couldn't STAND) won.

And I'm sorry to hear about your ovulation junk. God has His perfect timing though -- never forget that!

Have a blessed day!
