Meeting Chloe

We are officially back from vacation! We had a wonderful time, and this week will probably be filled with recap posts.

I must say, our flight schedule to get out east was just brutal. Our first flight left at 12:45 in the morning, and then we had about an hour layover in Detroit. However our layover turned into about three hours, because our connecting flight was cancelled! Thankfully my hubby is a very wise man, and he planned our flight schedule so we would arrive about three hours before our boarding the ship, so we got on another flight and still made it on time.

The most exciting part about the first day was that I got to meet Chloe from Trying To Throw My Arms Around The World! She beat me and blogged about it first, because there was no free Wi-Fi on the ship, like I was secretly hoping there was.

Our plan was to meet over Chloe's lunch break before Derek and I boarded our ship. So when we had the whole flight cancellation situation, I thought we weren't going to get to meet each other after all (I was very disappointed). But Chloe was able to take a later lunch that day and drove over to meet us at the pier, so it worked out. Thanks for being willing to drive all over the place on your lunch break to meet me, Chloe!

If you haven't checked out Chloe's blog, you should head over there right now. She is just as sweet in real life as she is on her blog (you totally read my mind and stole that sentence from me, Chloe). She has a fun personality that comes through even more when you talk with her in real life.

I wish we had more time to talk. Unfortunately our meeting was only for about ten minutes, so we didn't get to sit and talk about everything we could have talked about. But we squeezed in as much conversation as possible in our ten minute time frame, and then Derek and I went and boarded the ship.

More on that to come . . .
