My Happiness Depends Upon It . . .

This is the question, Folks. It will affect my life for years to come.

Are you ready?

Scotland Isle?

Or Pepper Grass?

I'm trying to decide which color of green to paint our new bedroom downstairs. Yes, the basement is coming along nicely! Details are on their way - look for a post next week.

By the way, congratulations to my blogging friend Jenene, who just announced that she's pregnant! Jenene's blog was one of the first that I found when I started being more "serious" about blogging two years ago, and I'm so glad I did. She's a wonderful Christian girl, and I'm so happy for her and her husband, Art! Her sweet baby is due in April. Very happy for you, Friend!

And thank you to Chloe for the award - more on that to come.

I hope you all have a wonderful Labor Day Weekend! I'll be spending mine trying to decide the above, all-important question. Peppers or Scotland?

Input appreciated!

I really like both of them, and they're both very similar to the color of my kitchen! But I have to say that I like Scotland Isle just a tad bit more. It seems a little warmer to me. I can't wait to see the basement progress!

I like them both, but I think I like Pepper Green the best! :)

Ooh, I like Pepper.. The Scotland one would become too 70's ish I believe. That pea green that borders on not actually being green, if that makes sense.

Thanks Callie! And I vote Pepper Green. Scotland seems a little too brown. So that's my two cents. :)

DEFINITELY pepper green : ) : )

I say it depends on the rest of the colors you're trying to accent with! Scotland is definitely more brown and a touch warmer, but the other is bright and cheery.

I have to be honest...I am very surprised (in a good way) you're painting a wall such a bold color! This is excellent progress ;) Good for you!

I like the pepper green since it's a little bit brighter. Have fun painting! And I hope the paint color (whichever you choose) brings you much happiness in years to come! :)

They are both really similar but I tend to go with the more olive colors so I would lean towards the Scotland Isle! Good luck :)

I like pepper grass the best...it seems softer. Good luck with all the work ahead! It's so nice when all that hard work pays off with something beautiful!

I'd get a sample of each and see how they look in your lighting. If you have any natural light in the room, they're both likely to look brighter. If you have only artificial light in the room, it will be warmer. My powder room is painted something similar to the pepper green, in a room with no natural light. and I love it. One thing I've learned, nothing looks exactly like the paint strip! You have to get it on your wall with your lighting to see for sure. A little trick my Hubby taught me, if you look at the colors at the top of the paint tier (they are usually grouped together in 3's or 4's) that will give you an idea of the tones the color you picked will carry. For instance, if you pick a reddish brown that is on a palette with pinks at the top, it will likely pick up the pinks once dry. Same with orange, yellow, etc. If that makes any sense...

Pepper Green, definitely! I think that the other one is just a bit too brown (at least for my liking, but then again I am just crazy)

I like the pepper grass one, too. The other looks a little like baby poop to me :/

Pepper Grass! the other one is a little pukey :)

Well, I vote for Pepper Grass. Although Scotland has a warmer undertone (yellow), I think in your bedroom you want a more restful shade of green. Any green with a yellow tinge will, in certain lights, look a little puke like at some point. I've had many greens in my house (I change paint colors often), and the ones w/ blue undertones (vs. yellow) are the ones that are more inviting, timeless, and pleasant. - Good luck with your choice and renovations! Can't wait to see the progress :-)

Another vote for pepper grass!

I like both, but I'm going with Scotland Isle! :) The other color looks like the color of our living room and I love it...but I like the shade a bit darker for a bedroom. :)
