Little Book Of Bedtime - Review and Giveaway!

Our bedtime routine is one of my favorite times of the day - not for the reason you think!  Sure, I like having that couple hours of quiet time with Derek at night, but the process of putting the kiddos to bed is so sweet.  They are usually snuggly and giggly and so much fun.

Every night we read the kids a Bible story before we put them to bed, and if we have time we read them another book as well.  i was excited to see that Tommy Nelson was offering "Precious Moments Little Book Of Bedtime".  I love precious moments, and I thought this would be a perfect wind-down book before bed!

I was very pleased when I got the book in the mail and looked through it.  Each page includes a beautiful Precious Moments illustration, a poem, and either a Bible verse or a quote.  I like that the format is such that you can read as much or as little of the book as you want at a time.  The entire book isn't terribly long either - I sat down and read the whole thing to Wyatt and Gwen before bed one night, and they enjoyed it.

I love that there are poems in this book - I remember so many poems from my childhood, and I love having good ones to read to my kids as well.

And bonus - this is a board book!  Which is a good thing because Gwen especially loved it, and she could carry it around and look through it without ruining the pages.

I love bedtime routine as well! We do the same thing every night and it is a fun, sweet time for our family. the kids get a bath together and if we both are home from work we both sit in the bathroom and talk with them in the tub. Then we let Nathan run around his room with out clothes on for a few minutes (it must be a boy thing!) while we get sister in her jammies. Then Nathan gets jammies on and we split up. Some nights I read to Nathan and other nights I take sister. Each kid gets 3 books and then i will sing a song and rock them for a few minutes. Some nights Nathan asks me to rub his back once he is in bed (i know this is probably a tactic to keep me in his room longer but Idon't care it is so cute to hear his little voice say "mommy rub my back please"! They both go down pretty easy. I would like to start incoperating more bible stories into the bedtime routine especially as sister gets older and we can start reading to both of them at the same time!

So fun! I would love to win this to read to our future kids. It would be one more 'blue sock moment' of the lord telling us they are coming!!! I can't wait to pray with them before bedtime :)

I bought the Jesus Storybook Bible because of you and we love it (most importantly Liam loves it) so I know we would love this one as well! :)

I can't wait to sing hymns/songs with my son, and say prayers of praise, thanks, and make requests of our Heavenly Father
