Fall is upon us, my friends! For our little family, that means squeezing in as much fun as we can in these last couple weeks before we add another little one to our family! And what is more fun for the fall than eating lots of autumn-flavored goodies?
Today I have for you one fall fudge recipe, one fall children's book, and two giveaways! Throw in some candles and cool weather, and you have a perfect early fall afternoon!
So first up, the recipe. I was having a random craving a couple weeks ago for fudge and apple pie - so I combined the two and came up with this recipe! This is a decadent fudge recipe that is almost like a dessert. This recipe only makes enough for about four people to have a few pieces each, so if you are planning on serving more people, double the ingredients.
Caramel Apple Pie Fudge
1/2 apple, finely chopped
1 tsp. nutmeg
2 tbsp. brown sugar
2 c. sugar
2/3 c. milk
1/2 stick butter
1/4 tsp. caramel extract flavoring
2 tsp. apple pie spice
3/4 c. white chocolate chips
caramel syrup (optional)
1. Combine apple, nutmeg, and brown sugar in a saucepan. Cook apples over medium heat until they are tender. Remove from heat and set aside.
2. Combine sugar, milk, butter, and caramel flavoring in a saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Let mixture boil for about five minutes (or until it reaches a soft ball stage), stirring often.
3. Remove from heat and stir. Add in white chocolate chips and apple pie spice, and beat mixture until chips are melted. Add in half of the cooked apples.
4. Pour fudge into a greased dish. Add remaining apples to the top of the fudge, and pat down lightly with a spoon. Add a drizzle of caramel syrup if desired. Refrigerate fudge until served!
After you finish your fudge, carve up some pieces and settle down with your little ones on the couch to read a fall book together! God Bless Our Fall is one that we got for this year, and it is so cute. I like so many of the God Bless picture book series. This one focuses on all the blessings that fall brings, like fall colors, pumpkins, and activities with friends and family. Each page includes adorable illustrations of animal families doing autumn things together. Bonus points for rhyming and the fact that it is a board book!
This book is a great conversation starter for building a fall bucket list with your kids too! It will get them (and you) brainstorming on things you would like to do together as a family during the autumn season. I know after reading it, I am looking forward to the corn maze and painting pumpkins with my littles - it's a great book to usher in the autumn season and all the fun that it brings!
And to add to the fall fun - I have two giveaways going on for you!
First, follow me (and some other ladies) on Instagram and then fill out the Rafflecopter form below for a chance to win a Starbucks gift card - perfect timing because pumpkin spice lattes come out today!
And next, for a chance to win a copy of God Bless Our Fall to read with your littles, find this picture of the book on my Instagram feed and follow the instructions to enter!
Note: I received a copy of God Bless Our Fall for free from Tommy Nelson in exchange for a review. This is my honest opinion.

It may sound boring, but I actually just love going for a walk with my husband when we have an extra day. Even though we always go to the same place, I feel like i always discover something new.
I've never tried to make fudge.. I'm worried that I will never stop once I start! But this just screams fall deliciousness to me, so I will need to just suck it up and make some of this... like now... I can leave work to make fudge right?

That fudge looks DELICIOUS! I will be adding that to my fall recipe list, thanks for sharing!! (and for the awesome giveaway!)
I love the idea of being a tourist in your own town! There are so many great "touristy" activities where we live, and many we haven't done yet! Thanks for the great idea!
I would love to do ANY of these! But especially camping right now. I haven't been camping in a couple of years!!
Thank you for stopping by! Yes, it was definitely a successful fudge experiment! :-)
Fudge can definitely be addicting, haha!
I love camping, and campfires are the best!
I know, there are a bunch of touristy things we always forget about too!
That's not boring at all! Going on a walk together can be so relaxing and a good time to reconnect!
I am looking forward to all the autumnal colours!!!
The fudge looks out of this world delicious!!!
